Our honest buying advice


Fits well If your scope has a 30-, 34-, or 35-mm main tube, a Picatinny base is present, and you can determine the required ring height based on objective clearance and head position.


Probably doesn’t fit If you use Weaver instead of Picatinny, are looking for a quick-release solution, or barrel diameter and required height are not yet clarified. For mounting heights, "better higher just in case" is rarely the best strategy.


What the features practically mean


Barrel diameter is not objective diameter The main tube of the scope is decisive. A 50- or 56-mm objective says nothing about whether 30-, 34-, or 35-mm rings are needed.


Height as low as sensible The rings must provide enough clearance for the objective, rail, and possibly flip covers. Too high mounting can unnecessarily worsen head and cheek position.


Picatinny interface The available product data assign the Precision Matched Rings to Picatinny and explicitly exclude Weaver. Therefore, mechanically check the base before ordering.

Limits, disadvantages & avoiding bad purchases

Three things must fit at the same time: barrel diameter, rail standard, and actual mounting height. An error in just one point makes the selection unusable.
Do not derive variant from the scope: Especially with large scopes, the temptation is great to just go for "High". Base and system height also influence the actual clearance.
No quick release: If you frequently switch optics without tools, you need a different mounting concept.

Choose the lowest height that provides sufficient clearance for the objective and accessories while allowing a natural head position. Do the rings fit on Weaver? The existing product data lists them as Picatinny rings and excludes Weaver. Do not assume compatibility with a Weaver base. Why are there M-marked variants?
