Vortex GlassPak Pro · Size S
More protection and organisation for regularly used binoculars
The GlassPak Pro carries the optics close to the body, padded and quickly accessible. This product page currently features Size S; it is intended for most binoculars up to 42-mm objective, although the actual external dimensions of the binoculars remain decisive.

Fits well For stalking, game walks, and nature observation when protection, quick access, and accessory organisation are more important than minimal weight.

Fits less well If only an open minimal strap is desired or a very large 50-/56-mm binocular is to be carried.

Check fit carefully

Size S Approx. 18.5 × 16.5 × 8.9 cm and approx. 402 g according to available product data.

Typical classification For most binoculars with 42-mm objective or smaller. External contour and height can still be decisive.

DWR-treated exterior Weather-resistant but not comparable to a waterproof dry bag.

Padded interior Reduces contact with hard equipment and protects against typical scratches and impacts.

Limits and avoiding wrong purchases

Objective diameter alone does not guarantee fit; check the external dimensions of the specific binoculars.
DWR is water-repellent, not fully waterproof.
The larger GlassPak Pro version is usually intended for 50-/56-mm binoculars.
More padding and storage space mean more volume than a simple harness strap.

Technical data with practical interpretation

Approx. 18.5 × 16.5 × 8.9 cm Compact Pro size for many 42-mm binoculars.

Approx. 402 g More than a simple strap, but with protection and organisation function.

Adjustable harness For close fit over light or thick clothing.

Modular system Interesting for users who want to integrate rangefinders or other small equipment.

Scope of delivery

GlassPak Pro binocular case Size S
Carry harness
Comfort neck strap
Attached lens cleaning cloth
Rangefinder pouch

Practical note
First adjust the harness over your typical field jacket and initially pack only the equipment you really need. Overloading reduces freedom of movement and access.
FAQ
Does Size S fit 42-mm binoculars? For most, yes. For unusually long or wide housings, also check the external dimensions. Is the bag waterproof? No. The DWR-treated exterior is weather-resistant but not a waterproof container
r. Is a rangefinder pouch included? Yes, according to the currently stored scope of delivery. When is the larger version useful? With many 50-/56-mm binoculars or if the external dimensions of the glass exceed size S. Black-Raptor classification: GlassPak Pro S is the more sensible choice compared to an open strap if the binoculars are regularly used in the field and need to be transported protected at the same time.
