Bore Tech Nylon Cartridge Chamber Brush: Choose specifically for AR-15/M16 or AR-10 This brush is not a universal attachment. The shop variants are designed for AR-15/M16 in .223/5.56 mm or AR-10 in .308/7.62 mm. Nylon is especially useful when using copper solvent chemicals and you want to avoid a bronze-related false blue reading.

Our Assessment
The reason to buy is less about "more scrubbing" and more about a clean cleaning process: stiff nylon bristles work in the cartridge chamber without bringing bronze into contact with copper solvents. This keeps the later color evaluation easier to interpret.

Fits well if … … you maintain an AR-15/M16 in .223/5.56 or AR-10 in .308/7.62 with the matching variant.
… your cleaning rod has a female 8/32 fitting and you want to deliberately use nylon.

Fits less if … … you are looking for a bore brush, universal brush, or a complete set.
… platform, caliber, or rod thread do not clearly match the chosen variant.

Variant Selection and Compatibility

AR-15 / M16 For .223 / 5.56 mm according to the existing Bore-Tech data set. Do not order solely based on visually similar platform.

AR-10 For .308 / 7.62 mm according to the data set. Other calibers or differing chamber geometries are not automatically approved.

8/32 Thread The brush has a male 8/32 thread. The separately required rod must therefore have a matching female fitting.

Nylon instead of Bronze Copper solvents can discolor bronze. Nylon avoids this material-related false blue reading u
nd is therefore the cleaner choice for this process.

Limits, disadvantages and avoiding bad purchases

No universal AR accessory: platform designation and actual caliber must match the variant.
No cleaning rod included: without the appropriate 8/32 fitting, the brush cannot be used directly.
No replacement for the finish: loosened residues and liquid must then be absorbed with a suitable patch or mop.

Technical data with practical interpretation

Bristles Extra stiff nylon with diameter matched to the respective chamber. For mechanical work without bronze reaction.

Core Not made of brass, double-wound and with closed loop end. This supports the Proof-Positive system concept.

Thread Male 8/32. Check with rod or adapter before ordering.

Length Approx. 3.0 inches according to existing manufacturer data.

Manufacturer application The data set specifies 6 to 12 controlled rotations in the chamber. More pressure does not replace the correct size.

Connection Aluminum threaded fitting. Rod, cleaner and mop are separate components.

Scope of delivery
1 × Bore Tech nylon chamber brush in the chosen AR-15/M16 or AR-10 version. Cleaning rod, adapter, cleaner, patches and chamber mop are not included.
Safe use

Only on safely unloaded firearm Before maintenance, check unloaded status and prepare the firearm for cleaning according to manufacturer instructions.

Observe chemical instructions Follow ventilation, protective measures and exposure times of the cleaner used. Insert brush straight and stop if unusual resistance occurs.

FAQ
Which variant fits the AR-15/M16? Existing Bore-Tech data assign AR-15/M16 to the .223/5.56 mm version. Which variant fits the AR-10? The AR-10 version is specified for .308/7.62 mm. Why nylon with copper solvents? Bronze can react with copper solvents and produce blue residues. Nylon does not cause this bronze-related false indication. What thread does the rod need? The brush has male 8/32; therefore a matching female 8/32 fitting is required.
Black Raptor · system instead of universal promises
The brush makes sense when platform, caliber, thread and cleaning chemistry match. Those who check these four points before purchase get a targeted chamber tool instead of a supposed universal attachment.
