ZENTRON ZEN Q35 – Thermal imaging observation for medium hunting distances
The ZEN Q35 is the 384×288 model of the Q-Series: 35 mm optic, ≤20 mK NETD, compact design, and modern app connectivity. It fits when solid observation is more important than 640 resolution detail reserve or integrated rangefinding.

Reading sensor and focal length correctly
With the Q35, not only pixel count and range value matter. The combination of 384×288 VOx, 12 µm, ≤20 mK NETD, 35 mm f/1.0, and 2.3× base magnification determines the practical image effect.

Solid sensor base for known medium hunting distances. Compared to 640 devices, detail reserve is missing – this should be consciously accepted in price and use case.

NETD describes thermal sensitivity and helps especially with low temperature contrast, moisture, and complex backgrounds.


35 mm f/1.0
35 mm remains a sensible middle ground between range and field of view. Seven Oaks lists about 10 m field of view at 100 m or 7.5°×5.6°.


No integrated LRF
Rangefinding is not part of this model. Those who want to measure distances directly on the device should choose an LRF model.


Practical interpretation instead of datasheet records
The stated detection range of up to 1,800 m describes the recognition of a heat source under suitable conditions. It is explicitly not equivalent to reliable identification or useful effective range.
Digital zoom enlarges existing sensor data; it does not create new details. For overview and image quality, the optical base magnification remains more important than the highest zoom number.
