Adjust grip position instead of forcing your wrist into the setup The Vertical Grip Elite combines 10 mm forward/backward adjustment with up to 10° backward tilt. This lets you precisely set the hand position for the trigger—provided your chassis uses the correct grip mount.

Our honest assessment
The strongest reason to buy isn’t “more adjustment,” but a reproducible finger position. These shop variants are the standard chassis version. They are explicitly to be distinguished from the separately offered AR10/15 version with detent spring pocket.


Fits well if … your confirmed chassis uses a standard AR15 grip mount, you want to finely adjust distance and angle to the trigger, and the larger Elite grip body fits your hand.


Less suitable if … you use an MDT XRS, need an AR10/15 version with required detent spring pocket, or deliberately want a simple fixed grip without adjustment effort.


Features with practical effect


10 mm longitudinal travel Allows changing the distance between hand and trigger. This is usually the first meaningful adjustment parameter.


Up to 10° tilt Then the grip angle can be finely adjusted for a more natural wrist position.


6061 aluminium core
With rubber coating, grooves, and texture. The design creates a defined contact surface but does not replace a proper stop.

Standard chassis version For MDT chassis except XRS as well as other confirmed chassis with standard AR15 grip interface; do not confuse with the separate AR10/15 version.

Avoid limits, disadvantages, and bad purchases

Interface before ergonomics: An AR-15-style grip interface does not automatically mean every AR10/15 configuration fits. Check before buying whether your setup requires the standard chassis version or the version with detent spring pocket. The XRS is explicitly excluded.
Adjustment requires setup: More adjustment range only helps if the position is consciously set up and then securely fixed. If you want a simple plug-and-play grip, a fixed model is often better.

Technical data with practical interpretation

Version Standard Chassis Rifle in Black, FDE, Green, or Grey. The colour does not change the interface.

Adjustment 10 mm forward/back, up to 10° backward. Practically relevant for finger spacing and wrist angle.

Material 6061 aluminium core with rubber coating. The core provides structure, the surface improves contact.

Torque value 20 in/lb for the Grip Attachment Screw specified in the MDT manual – do not apply generally to other screws.

Scope of delivery
One MDT Vertical Grip Elite in the chosen colour. The included MDT manual covers the Elite grip assembly with mounting parts and T25 Torx tool; chassis and separate AR10/15 version are not part of this offer.

Preparation Only mount on fully unloaded equipment and clearly check the interface before starting.

Check First adjust distance, then grip angle; afterwards check fastening according to manufacturer’s instructions and perform a complete function and safety check.

Does this version fit an AR10/15? Not automatically. There is a separate Elite version with detent spring pocket for that.
