Our honest assessment

The Ameristep observation tent makes sense when a location needs to be chosen or changed flexibly. The pop-up setup saves time and creates a closed concealment for up to two persons without replacing a fixed hunting stand.
At about 4.5 kg, it is well suited for vehicle and short transport routes but not a classic ultralight solution for long hikes.
