UTG PRO · Picatinny · Manual Flip-up
Mechanical backup with a clear AR15-height sight line The TLURS55 is a manually folding rear sight for Picatinny rails. It locks in the raised position, can be released with a spring-loaded button, and offers tool-free windage adjustment with a dual aperture.
Important before buying: According to the manufacturer, the sight line is 36 mm above the rail. This height must match your front sight and the rest of your setup.

Our honest assessment

The TLURS55 makes sense if you need a defined mechanical backup on a Picatinny rail and want a classic AR15 centerline height. It is not a universal rear sight for arbitrary heights or offset rails.
The combination of 6061-T6 aluminum and steel, manual locking, and a low folded profile is built to be robust, but it does not replace checking the height against your front sight.

A good fit if … … you have a Picatinny base, a compatible front sight, and need a 36 mm sight line above the rail.

Probably not a good fit if … … your front sight has a different sight line, rail space is limited, or you expect automatic spring deployment.

Features and practical benefits

Dual aperture Large aperture approx. 5 mm, small aperture approx. 1.9 mm. This gives you two different sight pictures for faster or more precise use.

Tool-free windage adjustment Windage is adjusted using a dial directly on the sight. For repeatable settings, make adjustments deliberately and in small steps.

Manual locking The sight locks into place when raised; use the spring-loaded button to fold it down. This is deliberately not an automatic spring-up design.

Low folded profile At around 14.7 mm above the rail when folded, it reduces interference with optics and during transport.

Gre
Advantages, disadvantages, and how to avoid a bad purchase

Don’t ignore the sight height: The 36 mm center height must match your front sight.
Check rail space: The sight needs about 31.9 mm of length when deployed and about 58.7 mm when folded.
Don’t assume co-witness: Whether it co-witnesses absolutely or at lower 1/3 with an optic depends on the optic’s actual centerline height.
Don’t overtighten the mount: Leapers specifies around 25 in-lbs for the side plate screw.

FAQ
Does the TLURS55 deploy automatically? No. You deploy it manually, and it locks into place. To fold it down, press the spring-loaded release button.
Which front sight is compatible? The sight height must match above all. Leapers lists the TLUFS55 as the matching front sight.
Does it fit under every optic? No. Check the folded height of about 14.7 mm above the rail and the length of about 58.7 mm against your optic mount.
How do you adjust windage? Use the integrated windage wheel on the rear sight without tools.

Black Raptor · Sight height first
The TLURS55 is a solid choice if the Picatinny rail, 36 mm sight line, and your front sight are compatible. The key question isn’t “does it fit the rail?” but “does it align at the same height as the rest of your sighting system?”
