The UTG Flip-up Front Sight is a purely mechanical, foldable front sight for compatible Picatinny handguards at the appropriate height. A2 front post, Posi-lock detent, and slim aluminum/steel construction make it the compact front half of a matched backup sight.

Mechanical sight – no electronics: The Front Sight requires neither battery nor brightness adjustment. Crucial are the Picatinny base, same height level, and a matching rear sight.
Key features

Our assessment
The sight makes sense if the handguard and rear sight are on the same level. Even a few millimeters of height deviation can create a fundamentally incorrect sight picture; therefore, "Picatinny present" alone is not sufficient.
Buy / don’t buy
Buy if: rail height and matching rear sight combination are confirmed.
Don’t buy if: a low-profile gas block, a different rail height, or a complete front/rear set is expected.

Trainer tip: Always plan front and rear sight as a pair. Set up, check sight line, and only then determine the final position.

Classification: Flatter than a fixed sight, purely mechanical and without electronic dependency.
FAQ
Does the sight need power? No. It is a mechanical front sight. Is a rear sight included? No, according to product data only the front sight. Black-Raptor short summary: A slim mechanical front sight for cleanly matched same-level Picatinny setups.
