The UTG 4–16×44 Compact Scope with etched glass Mil-Dot reticle combines a 30 mm tube, SWAT AO, and 36-color illumination in a comparatively short design. It is aimed at range users who want a permanently visible reticle and more compact optic dimensions.

Etched reticle remains visible even without illumination

Magnification 4–16×
44 mm objective, 30 mm tube
etched glass Mil-Dot reticle
SWAT AO / side parallax adjustment
36-color illumination
Zero-locking turrets
True-Strength platform according to product data

Before buying: The compact design limits the range for ring position and eye relief. Check reticle plane, click value, mounting height, and actual ring area. Illumination is only a contrast aid, not a requirement for the reticle.
Our assessment
The glass Mil-Dot version makes sense if a clearly defined grid and reliable visibility without battery are important. Those who want a calmer sight picture should choose a G4 or Duplex model.

Practical tip: Adjust diopter without illumination, then correct parallax and confirm zero. Only then add a low illumination level.
Technical classification

Manufacturer: UTG
Series: AccuShot
Magnification: 4–16×
Objective: 44 mm
Tube: 30 mm
Reticle: etched glass Mil-Dot
Parallax: Side/SWAT AO

Is the reticle usable without battery? Yes. It is etched and remains visible without illumination. What does “Compact” mean? The optic is shorter than many classic 4–16× models, so mounting position and eye relief must be checked carefully. Conclusion: A compact 4–16×44 with etched Mil-Dot for systematic range work.
