3–12×44 · Mil-Dot · 30 mm
UTG SCP3-UG312AOIEW: Waterproof training scope with AO 3–12× magnification, 44 mm objective, etched Mil-Dot reticle, SWAT-AO and lockable turrets: This UTG is designed for users who want to consciously use parallax, hold points, and reproducible zeroing.
Important: Mil-Dot reticle and 1/4-MOA click adjustment are two different units. This should be clear before purchase.

Our honest assessment

The model offers a lot of function for a comparatively compact design. The advantage is a wide training range; the disadvantage is more operation and setup effort than with a simple duplex scope.
Those who frequently use corrections and hold points should choose a consistent unit logic for data cards and spotter calls. A MIL reticle does not automatically make the turrets MIL turrets.

Fits well if … … you are looking for a 3–12× scope with parallax adjustment, illuminated etched reticle, and 30 mm tube.
… you are willing to clearly separate reticle and turret units.

Less suitable if … … you want maximum simplicity or want to work exclusively with a uniform MIL/MIL or MOA/MOA logic.
… your setup requires a different tube size or significantly lower/higher magnification.

Features and practical effect

3–12× magnification Wide range for medium distances and training. Higher magnification facilitates target observation but reduces the field of view.

SWAT-AO from 10 yd The parallax adjustment allows adaptation to different distances. It does not replace a proper diopter setup.

Etched Mil-Dot reticle Remains visible even without illumination. The illumination serves contrast, not the basic functionality of the reticle.

Zero Lock / Reset Lockable and resettable T
Towers make it easier to refer to the confirmed zero. Only reset after the zero is confirmed with a reproducible group.

Limits, disadvantages and avoiding bad purchases

MIL reticle ≠ MIL clicks: The available data lists a Mil-Dot reticle and 1/4-MOA clicks. If you switch between holdover and turret adjustment, you must consciously distinguish these units.
The included rings are practical but do not replace the alignment of height of the scope, rail, eye relief and objective clearance on your own setup.

Technical data with practical interpretation

Magnification 3–12× – versatile for training and medium distances.

Objective / tube 44 mm objective, 30 mm tube. Ring size and clearance must fit the setup.

Reticle Etched Mil-Dot reticle with 36-colour illumination.

Click value 1/4 MOA per click according to product data. Do not infer a different click logic from the Mil-Dot reticle.

Parallax SWAT-AO from 10 yd to infinity.

Scope of delivery
Rifle scope, matching rings and flip caps according to the available product data. Check details of the actual package contents on receipt against the manufacturer’s scope.
FAQ
Does the reticle remain visible without a battery? Yes. The reticle is etched; only the illumination is off. Are both reticle and click adjustment in MIL? No. The data lists Mil-Dot reticle and 1/4-MOA click adjustment. From what distance can the parallax be adjusted? According to product data from 10 yd to infinity. When should the turret zero be reset? Only after confirmed zero with a reproducible group. Are rings included? Yes, rings are listed as included in the available product data.
Black Raptor · Keep units clearly separate
The SCP3-UG312AOIEW offers many training functions. Those who consciously master Mil-Dot reticle, MOA clicks, parallax and zero get a versatile working scope; those who want maximum simplicity are better off with a reduced setup.
