A LPVO for users who want 1x and real distance reserve in one optic The Vudu 1–10×28 combines low magnification for quick target acquisition with 10x for significantly more target information. The first focal plane keeps the reticle structure proportional through the zoom.
Black-Raptor classification: The 1–10x is strong if you really use both ends of the range. For pure close range, an HWS is more direct; for pure precision range, a specialized optic can be more comfortable.

Reticle & variant choice


LE5 Cross-Hair MRAD For users who think in MRAD and prefer a more classic cross-hair concept.


SR4 MOA For MOA-based hold and correction logic. Click system and reticle should be consciously used as a unit.


SR5 MRAD MRAD variant with more structured hold information. Useful if you actively use the reticle.

Features with practical benefits
1x as a working range The low magnification allows for quick work but remains visually and ergonomically a scope – not the same as an HWS or red dot.


10x for target information More magnification helps with target identification and more precise holdover work, but demands more from eye relief and positioning.


Use FFP meaningfully The advantage of the first focal plane only comes into play when you actually use holdover marks and corrections across changing magnifications.


Mounting as a system part 34mm rings or cantilever mount, height and eye relief should be planned together before ordering.


Avoid limits & bad purchases

1–10x is not automatically better than 1–6x or 1–8x. The extra zoom only helps if you really need it and accept the slightly more demanding eye relief.
Don’t buy MOA and MRAD variants based on optics alone, but according to your existing calculation and training logic. Mixed systems make corrections unnecessarily complicated.

FAQ
Why FFP on a 1–10x LPVO? Because the holdover marks remain proportional across the entire zoom range. This is especially worthwhile if you don’t only work at maximum magnification. Which mount do I need? A 34mm mount with suitable height and enough forward/backward adjustment for your eye relief. Is the glass a replacement for an HWS? Not completely. At 1x it’s versatile, but an HWS often remains more direct and less critical in eye position for pure close range.
