Targeted lubrication · sliding surfaces · ceramic additive
Ballistol GunCer ceramic gun grease: use where oil disappears too fast GunCer gun grease is designed for heavily loaded sliding and friction points where a sticky lubricant film is more useful than thin oil. The application is targeted and sparing – not applied broadly over the entire firearm.
The most important classification: grease belongs on defined contact surfaces. Too much grease attracts dirt and can turn good lubrication into an unnecessary burden.
Our honest classification
GunCer grease is especially suitable for guides, rails, and other mechanically stressed contact points where a longer-lasting lubricant film is desired. For fine capillary areas, large-scale external preservation, or quick distribution, a liquid oil is usually more practical.
Works well if … … you want to lubricate highly stressed sliding points selectively and consciously distinguish between grease and oil.
… you need a small 10-g tube or a larger 70-g version for range or workbench maintenance.
Less suitable if … … you are looking for a barrel cleaner, degreaser, or universal spray oil.
… you want to apply large amounts of grease in dust- and dirt-exposed areas.
Features and practical effects
Ceramic additive The product line is focused on lubricating
designed for heavily loaded friction points. The grease stays more precisely on the contact surface than a thin oil.
Precise application Grease can be dosed deliberately. This is an advantage on defined guides and rails, but only if excess is avoided.
10 g or 70 g The 10-g tube is compact for pocket or small maintenance kit; 70 g is more economical for regular workbench use.
Grease instead of oil The higher adhesion is the benefit – at the same time the limit. Where very thin distribution or creeping effect is required, liquid GunCer is more sensible.
Limits, disadvantages and avoiding bad purchases
Do not grease the barrel: barrel care and lubrication of sliding surfaces are different steps.
Do not overdose: a thin film on the intended contact point is more sensible than visible grease pads.
Do not confuse with cleaner: GunCer grease does not dissolve stubborn combustion, copper, or powder residues.
Technical data with practical interpretation
Product type Ceramic firearm grease for loaded sliding and friction points.
Variants 10-g tube or 70-g container. Same function, different amount of use.
Application Sparingly, precisely and only on designated contact points.
Distinction More adhesion than thin oil, but less suitable for fine gaps and large-area application.
Scope of delivery
1 × Ballistol GunCer ceramic firearm grease in the chosen 10-g or 70-g variant. Cleaner, oil, brushes, patches and tools are not included.
Safe application
Only on unloaded firearm Before care and lubrication, completely unload and follow the firearm manufacturer's care instructions.
Clean before greasing First remove loose dirt and old excess from the contact point. Building fresh grease on dirt does not increase reliability.
FAQ
When is grease better than oil? When a longer-lasting lubricating film is desired on a defined sliding or friction point. For fine gaps or large-area distribution, oil is often more suitable.
How much should I apply? Sparingly. The goal is a thin film on the contact point, no visible grease deposit.
Can I clean the barrel with it? No. The product is a lubricating grease for friction points, not a barrel cleaner.
Which size fits better? 10 g for compact maintenance kit and occasional use; 70 g for more frequent workbench care.
Can too much grease cause problems? Yes. Excess can bind dirt and unnecessarily stress mechanical areas.
Black Raptor · targeted instead of generous
GunCer grease makes sense when you know which contact point really needs grease. Used sparingly and precisely, the higher adhesion plays out its advantage; it is deliberately not intended as a universal care product.
