Aluminium Bluing Set: the complete process instead of a single bottle For small bare spots, scratches and edges on suitable aluminum parts, the set combines preparation, bluing and preservation. It’s exactly this sequence that matters more for the result than a thick application.

Our honest assessment

The set is intended for cosmetic touch-ups on suitable aluminum surfaces. It does not replace anodizing, paint or Cerakote repair and may react differently depending on alloy, coating or pretreatment.
The advantage over the single product: primer, aluminum bluing, Gunex, gloves, brush and cloths are combined for an orderly workflow.



Works well if … … you want to neatly touch up small bare aluminum spots and don’t yet have a complete workflow for it.
… test area, degreasing and controlled after-treatment are important to you.


Less suitable if … … you want to blue steel or replace a professional coating repair.
… you want to treat large visible areas without material testing.

Aluminum Primer Prepares the surface for bluing. Practical: especially with aluminum, clean pretreatment is not a minor step.


Aluminum Bluing Serves for the black cold bluing of suitable alloys. Practical: several controlled passes are more effective than one uncontrolled thick application.


Gunex 50 ml For final preservation. Practical: the treated spot is not left unprotected after the chemical step.


Work accessories Gloves, brush and care cloths reduce improvisation and help prevent recontamination of the surface with skin oils after degreasing.

Avoid Discoloration & Bad Buys

Aluminium bluing is not a paint pen. Anodized, painted, coated or differently alloyed parts may react differently. So always test first on an inconspicuous spot.
For large premium surfaces or safety-relevant components, a professional surface treatment is often the better solution.

Technical Data with Practical Interpretation

Working Temperature Existing product data specify at least 20 °C. Practical: don’t apply “somehow” in a cold workshop.

Safe Use
Only work on unloaded, secured items. Wear gloves, ensure good ventilation, follow manufacturer instructions and avoid contact with skin/eyes. Prepare surface clean, dry and grease-free; do not mix chemicals randomly.
FAQ
Can I blue steel with this? No. The set is intended for suitable aluminium surfaces. Does the set replace an anodizing repair? No. It is meant for optical touch-up of small suitable spots. Why is the primer important? Because aluminium surfaces and oxide layers influence the reaction. The primer is part of the intended process before bluing. Do I have to test? Yes. Alloy, coating and surface condition can change the result.
