NEXTORCH · Quick Air · long NEXLOCK version
N23A Quick Air: more overall length at a moderate weight The N23A combines an overall length of 584 mm with a packed length of 250 mm and a weight of around 350 g. Its 42CrMo/7075 aluminum construction makes it significantly lighter than the equally long, heavier steel version N23C, while retaining the NEXLOCK push-button system.
The choice is clear: if you need the 584 mm class and want to save weight, take a look at the N23A. If you want to stay more compact, don't automatically go for the longest version.

Black Raptor – Product assessment
By our dealer team · Editorial assessment
For the N23A Quick Air, the extended length and closed
Its packed size should be considered separately. NEXTORCH specifies 584 ±2 mm extended, 250 ±2 mm closed and a weight of 350 ±15 g. These manufacturer specifications describe the specific size, without making any claim about suitability for every gear setup.
According to the manufacturer, the construction combines 42CrMo steel, a 7075 aluminum alloy and TPE on the grip. NEXLOCK is the name of the locking system with push-button release. These specifications do not constitute independently verified slip resistance or an in-house load test by our team.
Our assessment: The Air designation should be read alongside the documented materials. It does not mean the construction is made entirely of aluminum, nor does it imply blanket approval for accessories from other models. The mount and storage must be explicitly compatible with the N23A. Training, organizational requirements and permitted use must be clarified regardless of weight and model size.

A good fit if … a total length of 584 mm is explicitly required, NEXLOCK matches your training standard, and 350 g and a packed length of 250 mm work with your belt and holster setup.

Probably not a good fit if … compact size, minimal weight, a Walker system or integrated lighting matter more than the longer design.

Features that matter in practice

584 mm extended The longer design needs more storage and training space. Choose it based on a specific requirement.

350 g instead of 600 g Compared with the equally long N23C, the Quick Air design significantly reduces the weight carried on your belt.

NEXLOCK push button The defined locking system is especially useful if procurement and training are already based on NEXLOCK.

250 mm closed The packed size is consistent with the longer design and should be checked against your holster, cabinet and transport case before ordering.

Limitations, drawbacks and avoiding the wrong purchase
Length is not an end in itself: The N23A is not automatically a better choice than the N17A or N16. Greater length also requires more space.
No integrated light: Lighting must be arranged separately.
Quick Air vs. Quick Steel: The N23A and N23C are the same length, but differ significantly in weight and materials.
Legal requirements are a separate matter: Possession, transport, carrying and official use must be assessed separately.

Safe handling and maintenance
For use only by authorized adults who have received instruction, and only within the applicable rules. Training and function checks must take place in an approved environment and follow the manufacturer's instructions; do not test on people or animals.
Check the locking mechanism, tubes, grip and end cap before use. After a hard drop, deformation, corrosion or unreliable operation, take it out of service and have it inspected by a qualified professional. Secure it against unauthorized access during storage and transport.

Technical specifications with practical context

Extended length 584 ±2 mm – long Quick Air class.

Closed length 250 ±2 mm – requires corresponding space for a holster and transport.

Materials 42CrMo steel, 7075 aluminum and TPE – mixed construction to reduce weight.

Mechanism NEXLOCK push button – important for system consistency and training.

Drop height 2 m according to the manufacturer – still inspect it after a hard impact.

Lighting Not integrated – a separate lighting system is required if needed.

SKU N23A – discreetly identifies the exact model.

Black Raptor · Length only where it’s really needed
The N23A is the long, lighter NEXLOCK option. Its strength lies in the balance between its 584 mm overall length and 350 g weight—not in being inherently better than the more compact models.
