Guided sharpening system with reproducible angle selection The Work Sharp Precision Adjust is aimed at users who want to sharpen knife blades more controlled than with a free whetstone. The blade is clamped, and the sharpening angle can be set from 15° to 30° in 1° increments.
With 320 and 600 diamond and ceramic, the system covers sharpening and subsequent refining in a compact design.

Our honest assessment
The big advantage is repeatability: set the angle, fix the blade, and work both sides according to the same principle. This is especially helpful if freehand holding of the angle is not yet reliable. For this, the system is slower and less spontaneous than a simple pull-through sharpener.


Works well if … … a reproducible angle is more important to you than maximum fast resharpening.
… you want to maintain several smooth knife blades with deliberately chosen geometry.


Less suitable if … … you only want to achieve a usable sharpness in seconds on the go.

Features with practical effect

Limits & avoiding bad purchases
A guided angle does not replace the decision of which angle belongs to the respective blade. Do not remove unnecessarily much material and consider the existing edge geometry. For very special blade geometries or work outside the clamping range, another system is more sensible.
