Walther · Hunter Set · 3-piece
Hunter knife set: separate tools for different tasks This set combines a skinner with a gut hook, a compact utility knife, and a bone saw in a shared nylon sheath. The value isn’t in “three knives,” but in not having to force different tasks with a single tool.
BR take: useful for field dressing game and hunting gear; without that use case, the set is unnecessarily specialized for general camping.

A good fit / probably not a good fit

A good fit if … … you want to use a skinner, compact knife, and saw separately.
… visibility in the field matters; the bright orange handles are easier to find again.

Probably not a good fit if … … you’re looking for just one versatile outdoor knife.
… keeping weight to a minimum matters; at approx. 660 g total, it’s heavy for a backup-only set.

Features and practical benefits

Skinner with gut hook Designed for controlled game-processing cuts. The benefit depends on knowing the specific task and using safe angles.

Utility knife With an 8.6-cm blade, it’s designed for smaller, precise cutting tasks and is easier to handle than the larger skinner.

Bone saw 9.2 cm saw blade for tasks where a smooth knife blade isn’t suitable. Not an all-purpose wood saw.

440A and rubber handles Rust-resistant, easy-care steel paired with highly visible, grippy handles. Still clean and dry thoroughly after use.

Limitations, drawbacks, and how to avoid a bad purchase

This set is specialized and relatively heavy. If you only need one knife for bread, cord, and camp tasks, you’ll be carrying unnecessary bulk. The saw is for
designed for hunting use and not a replacement for a larger handsaw.
Hygiene is critical: clean tools immediately after contact with organic material, dry them completely, and store them separately from food.

Technical specifications with practical context

Skinner with an 11.5 cm blade and gut hook – a specialized tool for field dressing game.

Universal knife with an 8.6 cm blade – better for smaller, controlled cuts.

Saw with a 9.2 cm blade – compact and designed for use as part of the set.

Material / weight 440A stainless steel; orange rubberized handles; total weight approx. 660 g. Robust, but not ultralight.

Included
1 × skinner with gut hook, 1 × universal knife, 1 × bone saw, 1 × nylon sheath.
Safe use and care
Cut or saw only when standing securely and with a clear work area. Cut away from your body, carry tools in the sheath, and after contact with organic material, clean them thoroughly, disinfect them if the material allows, and dry them completely.
FAQ
Why three separate tools? Because skinning, smaller precision cuts, and sawing require different geometries and handling. Is 440A stainless? Yes. Stainless doesn’t mean maintenance-free, though; cleaning and drying are still important. Is the nylon sheath included? Yes, it’s part of the listed contents. Is this set useful for regular camping? Only if you really need the specialized hunting tools. For general camping tasks, a simpler set is usually lighter and more practical.
Black Raptor · a clear purpose
The Hunter Set makes sense if you actually use all three different tools. As a general-purpose outdoor set, it would be too specialized and too heavy.
