Black Raptor Buying Guide
Gränsfors Wildmarksbeil – the all-round middle ground for your outdoor setup
With about 35–36 cm length and around 0.6–0.64 kg, the Wildmarksbeil sits between an ultra-compact mini hatchet and a large forest axe. This exact middle ground makes it interesting for camp, territory, and bushcraft.

Fits well / fits less well

Fits well For firewood, branches, camp, territory, and users who only want to carry a compact hatchet.

Fits less well For regular felling work, heavy splitting, or ultra-light tours with minimal weight.

Practical use

Good middle ground More reserves than a mini hatchet, significantly more mobile than a forest axe.

35–36 cm handle Enough leverage for typical camp tasks without getting bulky in pack size.

About 0.6–0.64 kg Noticeable striking mass with still backpack-friendly size.

Hickory handle Robust, classic design with pleasant shock absorption.

Limits, disadvantages & avoiding bad purchases

All-rounder doesn’t mean master of all. For large logs or frequent felling work, a longer handle is more efficient. Those who only process tinder and small branches can save weight with the mini hatchet.
