Meopta MeoPro R6 5-30x56 FFP RD Heavy long-range scope with 34-mm tube, 56-mm objective, and FFP reticle – for users who really need 30x and a large adjustment range.
Buying advice
Works well if …
you want to use FFP holdover marks across the entire zoom range
30x and 320 cm elevation adjustment range make sense for your application
weight and size are consciously planned on your platform
Less suitable if …
you’re looking for a lightweight stalking or all-round scope
you don’t want to plan for 34-mm rings
you don’t actively use the benefits of FFP/MRAD/MilDot
Features & Benefits
5–30x Large detail range for precise stand and distance work.
FFP reticle scales with magnification; holdover marks remain proportionally usable across the zoom range.
34-mm tube Provides a lot of internal adjustment travel but requires matching 34-mm mounts.
56-mm objective Supports image brightness at high magnification but increases height and weight.
Limits & Avoiding Bad Buys
At 1080 g and 392 mm, this model is not a universal lightweight. Those working mostly at short to medium distances carry unnecessary weight and height. Also, 34-mm rings are mandatory; 30-mm mounts do not fit.
Technical Data with Practical Interpretation
5–30x / 56 mm → clearly designed for precision and distance rather than quick close-range use.
Tube: 34 mm → special 34-mm rings required.
Field of view: 8.2–1.2 m / 100 m → very narrow detail area at 30x.
Click: 0.7 cm / 100 m → fine, metric correction steps.
Elevation range: 320 cm / 100 m → large mechanical reserve for distance applications.
Parallax: 25 m to ∞ → tuned for high magnification and varying distances.
Length / Weight: 392 mm / 1080 g → robust but heavy platform.
Reticle plane: FFP → holdover marks scale with magnification.
Variant Selection
MRAD RD: focused on metric corrections and structured hold points. MilDot 3: classic Mil-Dot concept. Both variants are offered as FFP/RD model families.
Included in Delivery
1× Meopta MeoPro R6 5-30x56 FFP RD in chosen reticle variant, throw lever, lens caps, and user manual according to available product data. Mount not included.
FAQ
Why 34 mm instead of 30 mm? The larger tube provides, among other things, more internal adjustment travel but requires matching 34-mm rings. Is 30x always better? No. High magnification reduces the field of view and makes mirage and aiming errors more visible. It’s a tool, not a quality feature for every situation. What does FFP bring? The reticle structure scales with magnification so holdover marks remain proportionally usable.
Black-Raptor Rating: Consistent long-range scope with lots of mechanical reserve. Very good if you consciously need FFP, 34 mm, and 30x – unnecessarily large if you just want a universal hunting scope.
