The Vector Optics SCPSM-02 mounts Paragon Micro Scopes and optics with RUM-PG-/MICRO-T1 footprint especially low on a 21 mm 1913 Picatinny rail. At 23 g, the setup remains compact and light – ideal when stock geometry and cheek weld require a low optic position.

Our honest assessment

The SCPSM-02 is a specialized low-mount base, not a universal plate. On top, it accepts the Vector Optics footprint RUM-PG, which is compatible with the MICRO-T1 footprint. On the bottom, it belongs on a 21 mm 1913 Picatinny rail. This interface fits all Vector Optics Paragon Micro Scope models.
Its strength is the very low position of the optic. This works especially well on platforms with a low cheek rest. On systems with a straight AR stock, face shield, hearing protection, or deliberately upright head position, a raised mount can be more ergonomic.

Fits well if …

your optic uses RUM-PG or MICRO T1,
you mount a Vector Optics Paragon Micro Scope,

What the design achieves in practice


Extremely low profile
The 11 mm high base keeps the optic close to the rail. This keeps the profile compact and the sight line matches stocks designed for a low cheek weld.


43 mm length
The short base takes up little rail space. Before mounting, however, operating levers, rear sight, housing contours, and other accessories must remain free.


23 g weight
The low mass hardly changes balance and handling. Especially with compact hunting, sport, and training setups, the system stays pleasantly slim.


6061-T6, CNC-machined
The precisely manufactured aluminum construction combines low weight with cleanly defined contact surfaces. For repeatability, correct mounting and regular fit checks are crucial.

Mounting advice from practice

Check three levels in this order: 21 mm Picatinny on the firearm, RUM-PG/MICRO T1 on the optic, and then the mounting height suitable for your cheek weld. If all three points match, the SCPSM-02 is the direct low-mount solution.
Mount only on an unloaded and safely checked firearm. Contact surfaces must be clean, dry, and burr-free. Apply the fastening screws evenly and use the torque approved for the optic and screw connection. After mounting, check the point of impact and re-zero if necessary.
After the first shooting session, check the firm fit and point of impact again. Too long screws, warped contact surfaces, or a clamp not fully seated in the Picatinny slot can cause problems despite a matching footprint.

Low Mount or Cantilever Riser?


SCPSM-02: flat and direct
Choose the SCPSM-02 if you want the optic as close to the rail as possible and the cheek weld already works naturally at this height.


SCPSM-01: higher and forward offset
If you need more height or a cantilever position, the Vector Optics SCPSM-01 RUM Cantilever mount is the suitable alternative within the RUM system.

Keep contact surfaces, clamp, and screw heads free of dirt and excess oil. After heavy rain, transport shocks, or loosening the mount, check firm fit and point of impact again. Damaged screws or threads must not be reused.
