The Vector Optics Rokstad Carbon Bipod is a universal bipod for mounting on a
21 mm Picatinny rail. It combines carbon fiber legs (lightweight, high stiffness)
with an aluminum mount and mechanism – exactly the setup when you want a stable rest without unnecessarily
adding weight to your rifle.
This item is intended as a variant product: You simply select the appropriate height in Shopify. Both variants
feature ratcheted height adjustment and rubber feet to prevent slipping. This gives you a
repeatable, clean rest – whether at the range, in the field, or observing from the bipod.
Key Features
Type: Rokstad Universal Bipod for 21 mm Picatinny
Leg Material: Carbon fiber (manufacturer's info)
Mount/Mechanism Material: Aluminum (manufacturer's info)
Height Adjustment: ratcheted, different steps/intervals depending on variant
Feet: Rubber feet to prevent slipping (manufacturer's info)
Variants: low (RSCFP-06) and high (RSCFP-09)
Our Assessment (Practical Value)
With bipods, the practical question is less about marketing and more about: How quickly can I get a steady sight picture
– and does the setup stay light enough that you actually keep it attached? This is exactly where the carbon fiber + aluminum combo shines:
significantly less weight than classic full-aluminum bipods, but still a
stable rest when you apply pressure.
The second, often underestimated point is the step logic. Manufacturer's info:
12.5 mm per step (low) equals approx. 1.25 cm,
11.5 mm per step (high) equals approx. 1.15 cm.
It sounds trivial but is worth its weight in gold: You can quickly set the height reproducibly instead of guessing every time.
Especially on changing surfaces (mat, table, soil, grass), this lets you get to a steady picture much faster.
Variant Overview
Low (RSCFP-06): 15.5–23.0 cm, 265 g, 6 steps (12.5 mm/step)
High (RSCFP-09): 23.0–34.5 cm, 320 g, 10 steps (11.5 mm/step)
Features & Operation
Mounting: designed for 21 mm Picatinny rails
Height Adjustment: ratcheted (quick readjustment without “searching” for height)
Carbon Fiber Legs: low weight with high stiffness (manufacturer's info)
Aluminum Mechanism: robust mount and adjustment mechanism (manufacturer's info)
Rubber Feet: more grip on smooth and hard surfaces (manufacturer's info)

FAQ
Which variant is the right one – low or high?
The low variant is ideal for flat rests and maximum stability. The high variant gives you more ground clearance and is
often the better choice on uneven terrain or when you need to build “higher” (e.g. over vegetation or edges).
What’s the real benefit of carbon fiber on a bipod?
The main advantage is the weight: carbon fiber legs noticeably reduce the overall weight without sacrificing a stable rest.
You especially notice this when the bipod stays permanently on the setup.
How does the step adjustment help me in everyday use?
You can quickly and reproducibly adjust the height. With 12.5 mm (≈1.25 cm) or 11.5 mm (≈1.15 cm) per
step, you find the right height much faster instead of “correcting” at the stop for a long time.
Does the bipod fit every Picatinny rail?
It is designed for 21 mm Picatinny. With strongly deviating tolerances or special profiles, the fit may vary.
Do the feet slip on smooth surfaces?
The manufacturer specifies rubber feet to prevent slipping. The actual traction also depends on the surface and the load
(e.g. concrete, wood, rubber mat, soil).
