The NEXTORCH RM87 is a magnetic lamp mount for housing diameters from 23 to 26.5 millimeters. It combines a coated lamp clamp with a magnetic base and a hard-anodized aluminum housing.

Magnetic force depends on the actual surface
Holding force varies with steel quality, material thickness, paint, corrosion, dirt, curvature, temperature, and lever arm of the lamp used. A manufacturer statement like never detachable is therefore not a reliable guarantee.
The inner coating reduces scratch risks on the lamp body. However, particles trapped on the contact surface can still damage paint.
RM87 is intended for quick positioning. A secondary securing is required as soon as falling could endanger people, material, or traffic.

Magnet test: first check the contact surface without the lamp in a safe place.

Clean surfaces: remove metal shavings, sand, and moisture.

Measure lamp: confirm 23–26.5 mm at the actual clamping area.

Keep lever arm small: short, light lamp reduces tipping moment.

Secondary securing: use additional mechanical securing in any potential hazard.
