NEXTORCH TA41 · 2,600-Lumen All-Round Light
Your vehicle lacks light, the terrain begins behind the fence – and a single light should cover close range, search, and long standby.
The TA41 combines four sensibly graduated brightness levels with 272 m ANSI range, a replaceable 21700 battery, and up to 71 hours manufacturer runtime on low. That makes it versatile – as long as the proprietary charging cable is consciously planned for.
Check use profile and limits

Our honest assessment

The TA41 is a robust all-rounder from the older NEXTORCH generation, not a minimalist duty light. Four constant light levels, momentary light, strobe, and SOS cover more tasks than a pure high/strobe concept.
Its strongest argument is the gradation from 28 to 2,600 lumens. Its clearest disadvantage is the special quick connector: The USB power source is universal, but the lamp-side cable is not. A normal USB-C plug does not fit directly into the light.

Fits well if …

you want to cover vehicle, hunting ground, search, camping, or work with one light,
you can practically use 28, 200, 700, and 2,600 lumens,
a replaceable 4,800 mAh 21700 battery fits your power concept,
long low runtime is more important than smallest EDC dimensions.

Fits rather
not, if …

you want to charge directly at the lamp with any USB-C cable,
you only need lock and instant full light instead of a mode sequence,
you’re looking for an especially flat pocket flashlight,
you expect 2,600 lumens constant over 2.5 hours.

What the features mean in practice

28 and 200 lumens
For orientation, vehicle checks, and close-range work, the low levels are usually more comfortable. They reduce glare on bright walls, windows, fog, or rain.

700 lumens
The balanced level for many outdoor and search tasks: clearly more overview without immediately triggering maximum heat and energy load.

2,600 lumens · 272 m
Turbo provides short-term light reserve and range. However, the ANSI distance means only 0.25 lux at the target – not automatically safe detail recognition at 272 m.

DUO SWITCH
A light tap serves as momentary light or mode change, full press for permanent switching. With gloves, the pressure point must be practiced.

Trainer and user tip
Start consciously low in close range and only use Turbo when range or large area really require it. Practice the difference between a short tap and a full press in the dark and with the gloves you actually use. A verified user praises the area illumination and long everyday use but names the proprietary charging cable as a decisive disadvantage.

Reading runtimes correctly

Turbo
2,600 lm · 272 m · 2 h 30 min Short-term power reserve; no documented constant start brightness until the end.

High
700 lm · 140 m · 3 h 45 min Outdoor, search, and larger work areas.

Medium
200 lm · 75 m · 12 h Controlled work and orientation light.

Low
28 lm · 29 m · 71 h Close range and long energy reserve.

NEXTORCH points out lab conditions, possible deviations of about ±15%, and the influence of overheating protection. An independent runtime chart for this exact model was not found; therefore, no invented step-down time is given.

Battery and charging without misunderstanding
The TA41 is powered by a replaceable 21700 Li-Ion battery with 4,800 mAh. According to the manual, the charging time is about four hours. Charging is done from a USB power source via the supplied model-specific cable and the quick connector at the lamp end.

Important: “USB charging system” does not mean “USB-C directly on the lamp” for the TA41. Cable and lamp belong together as a fixed set. Before a tour, shift, or patrol, check charging cable, connector, and power source together.

Useful alternatives in the shop

NEXTORCH TA30D MAX
The more suitable alternative if range and light reserve have priority: 4,000 lumens and 450 m manufacturer range, but a different operating concept and higher power density.

NEXTORCH TA30C
More compact and with 18650/CR123A dual fuel. More sensible if belt/EDC suitability is more important than the long low runtime of the TA41.

NEXTORCH TA31
The significantly stronger searchlight option for wide-area light. More power also means more size, heat, and energy demand.

Technical data with practical interpretation

Light source
CREE XHP50.2 LED; white light with four constant light levels.

Special functions
2,600-lm momentary light and strobe, 700-lm SOS. Special modes do not replace communication or emergency planning.

Dimensions
148 × 38 × 27 mm. Larger than slim EDC lights but still portable as a handheld flashlight.

Net weight
143 g without battery. The packaged shipping weight is therefore not specified.

Housing

Safety and care

Insert battery with correct polarity and only use explicitly compatible cells.
Remove battery for long-term storage; store in a cool, dry place.
Rinse immediately with clean water after contact with saltwater or corrosive substances.
Replace damaged O-rings and keep sealing surfaces clean.
Do not cover Turbo mode, monitor heat development, and never shine directly into eyes.
The description refers to use as a handheld lamp. Target illumination devices intended for firearms fall under Annex 2 Section 1 No. 1.2.4.1 WaffG in Germany; do not mount on weapons.

FAQ: real purchase and application questions
Does the TA41 really have 2,600 lumens? Yes, NEXTORCH states 2,600 ANSI lumens and 272 m range. These values are initial/nominal; constant brightness over the entire runtime is not proven.
Can I connect a normal USB-C cable directly? No. The lamp uses a proprietary quick connector and the supplied USB charging cable. Therefore, this cable belongs firmly in the tactical or travel set.
What does the 2.5-hour runtime on Turbo mean? It does not mean that 2,600 lumens remain constant until the end. Temperature, battery, environment, and overheating protection influence the course.
Is the battery replaceable? Yes. A 21700 Li-Ion battery with 4,800 mAh is intended. Only use electrically and geometrically explicitly compatible batteries.
Is the TA41 a good EDC lamp? It can fit for pocket, vehicle, or belt. For a tight pants pocket, it is too large for many users with a 38 mm head and 21700 format; the TA30C is the more compact alternative there.
Are holster, mount, and remote switch included? A holster is not confirmed in the tested scope of delivery of the single lamp. Mount and remote switch belong to the separate TA41 SET version, not automatically to this item.

Black Raptor · honest advice
From trainers and users for users.
We don’t sell lumen numbers without context. For the TA41, low modes, large replaceable battery, and robust handheld use are just as much part of the decision as the special charging cable and the open question about permanent Turbo brightness.
