Hornady FMJ-BT .224 55 gr | Bullet with Cannelure #2267

Robust 55-gr bullet for sport shooting reloads FMJ-BT design with cannelure and consistent bullet geometry

The Hornady FMJ-BT in .224 caliber, with a bullet weight of 55 gr / 3.6 g, is a proven full metal jacket bullet for reloaders who value reliable function, consistent manufacturing quality, and repeatable results in sport shooting applications. The FMJ-BT design combines a closed bullet jacket with an aerodynamically shaped boat-tail base, making it particularly suitable for training, practice, and sport shooting loads. Hornady places particular emphasis on consistent bullet geometry and controlled dimensions during manufacturing to support consistent performance from shot to shot. The integrated cannelure provides a defined position for loads where the bullet is intended to be crimped. With a diameter of .224" / 5.69 mm and a classic weight of 55 gr, item no. 2267 is one of the established bullet options for compatible .22 centerfire calibers. The boat-tail geometry supports favorable aerodynamic performance and also makes it easier to seat the bullet cleanly in prepared cases. Combining a full metal jacket design, cannelure, and practical 55-gr weight, the Hornady 2267 is an economically and technically appealing component for larger batches of sport shooting reloads. The product is supplied as a bullet component only and is not loaded ammunition.
