Barnes TSX BT Bullets 6.5 mm/.264 – 120 Grain Item 30244

Monolithic solid copper bullet for controlled expansion Boat-tail design and relief grooves for stable precision The Barnes TSX BT in caliber 6.5 mm/.264 with 120 Grain is a lead-free solid copper hunting bullet for reloaders who want to combine high material stability, controlled expansion, and reliable penetration. The monolithic TSX design is made from copper and completely omits the classic lead core. This prevents the conventional separation of bullet jacket and core. Upon impact, the hollow point is designed to open in a controlled manner and form the characteristic petals of the TSX series. The inherently high retained weight supports pronounced deep penetration. Several relief grooves incorporated into the bullet body reduce the contact area between bullet and barrel. This design feature serves to reduce friction and copper fouling while creating favorable conditions for consistent pressure. The boat-tail base improves the aerodynamic transition at the bullet base and supports a stable trajectory. With a stated G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.381 and a sectional density of 0.246, the 120-grain TSX offers a balanced combination of comparatively high velocity, flight performance, and penetration potential. The bullet can be used in various suitable 6.5 mm cartridges, provided the load data, twist rate, and components are appropriately matched. Due to the special properties of monolithic copper bullets, only published load data explicitly suitable for this bullet should be used. The Barnes item number 30244 is offered in a pack of 50 bullets and is aimed at hunters and reloaders seeking a lead-free, structurally robust alternative to classic jacketed bullets with lead cores.Technical data: Manufacturer: Barnes Series: TSX BT Item number: 30244 Caliber / Diameter: 6.5 mm / .264" Bullet weight: 120 gr Construction: monolithic solid copper bullet Bullet shape: Hollow Point Boat Tail Material: copper, lead-free Ballistic coefficient: G1 BC 0.381 Sectional density: 0.246 Special feature: relief grooves in bullet body Application: hunting Packaging: 50 bullets
