Barnes LRX BT Bullets 6.5 mm/.264 – 127 Grain Item 30228

Full copper bullet for high precision and reliable deep penetration Boat-tail design and controlled expansion at longer distances The Barnes LRX BT bullets in caliber 6.5 mm/.264 with 127 Grain were developed for precise hunting loadings and reliable performance at medium to longer distances. The monolithic full copper construction completely omits a lead core and combines high retained weight with controlled expansion and pronounced deep penetration. The specially designed bullet tip ensures reliable expansion even at decreasing impact velocity, while the bullet head opens into stable, sharp-edged petals. This creates a wide wound channel without compromising the structural stability of the rear bullet body. Precisely worked relief grooves additionally reduce the contact area in the barrel, limit friction, and support consistent pressure conditions as well as reproducible velocities. The aerodynamic boat-tail base shape reduces air resistance, stabilizes the trajectory, and improves ballistic performance at longer ranges. With a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.468 and a sectional density of 0.260, the bullet offers a performance-oriented combination of precision, energy retention, and penetration. Barnes lists this version under article number 30228. It is suitable, following verified load data, among others for appropriate loadings in 6.5 Creedmoor, .260 Remington, 6.5-284, and 6.5 PRC. Delivered are 50 bullets per pack or 500 pieces per carton. These are exclusively reloading components and not ready-to-shoot ammunition. For safe use, verified load data and the specifications of the firearm, powder, and component manufacturers are binding.
