Hornady combines state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, perfectly matched components, and decades of experience to create ammunition of the highest quality. Ballistic Advantages for Long-Range Shooters The HPBT design, or hollow point boat tail, provides an extremely flat trajectory, minimizes air resistance, and ensures stable bullet flight even over long distances. This makes the cartridge suitable not only for demanding long-range competitions, but also for hunting applications where precision and absolute reliability are essential. The 168 Grain bullet delivers maximum accuracy, while the Boat Tail design further improves stability in wind and over distance. The consistent powder charge ensures a steady muzzle velocity, the high-quality brass case offers reloadability and dimensional stability, and the precisely manufactured primers ensure reliable, consistent ignition. The specially designed HPBT bullet shifts the center of gravity farther back, delivering impressive flight stability and tight groups even in changing wind conditions. The hollow point offers aerodynamic advantages and also supports controlled expansion on impact, making this cartridge highly effective for hunting as well.
