HORNADY BULLETS .22/.224 55GR V-MAX 22271 | Precision Varmint Bullet with Polymer Tip

Aerodynamic V-MAX® bullet with AMP® jacket for flat trajectories and high repeat accuracy Maximum precision and controlled fragmentation for hunting and sport shooting The HORNADY bullets .22/.224 55 GR V-MAX® were developed for reloaders who expect highest precision, a flat trajectory, and reliable bullet performance at long distances. The characteristic polymer tip improves the ballistic coefficient and initiates rapid, controlled expansion with intense fragmentation upon impact. This makes the V-MAX® bullet especially suitable for predator and varmint hunting as well as for precise shooting at the range, provided the respective use is legally permitted. The precision-crafted AMP® jacket (Advanced Manufacturing Process) ensures excellent concentricity and reproducible shooting performance through its uniform wall thickness. The bullet has a diameter of .224 inch (5.69 mm) and a weight of 55 Grain (3.56 g). It is suitable, among others, for loadings in .223 Remington, 5.56 NATO, .222 Remington, as well as other calibers with .224" bullet diameter. With a ballistic coefficient (G1) of 0.255, the V-MAX® combines a streamlined trajectory with high inherent precision even at medium and longer shooting distances. Hornady has stood for decades for innovative reloading components with tight manufacturing tolerances and consistently high quality. The 55 GR V-MAX® bullets offer ambitious reloaders a powerful solution for precise loadings in hunting and sport use.
