It was developed for the Marlin 336, 1894, and 1895 models and is aimed at shooters and hunters who want a defined, consistent trigger character with a lighter trigger pull weight. The trigger operates as a non-adjustable single-stage trigger with a factory-set trigger pull weight of 3 to 3.5 lb, approximately 1.36 to 1.59 kg. Timney places special emphasis on a clear and consistent break. At the same time, the design eliminates the typical lateral or loose play of the trigger found in many Marlin lever-action rifles, often referred to as "trigger flop." Each Lever Action Trigger is hand-assembled, tested, and calibrated according to Timney. This ensures as consistent a character as possible throughout production. The manufacturer offers the trigger in both black and nickel-plated finishes, allowing it to visually match blued or stainless versions of various Marlin models. The Timney Lever Action Trigger is designed for Marlin 336, 1894, and 1895 with the corresponding hammer block safety.
