Niedermeier Self-Loading Rifle 34 "dot 40"

MG 34 / Niedermeier – dot 1940 – 8x57 JS – semi-automatic – matching original parts – excellent condition
For sale is an exceptionally beautiful and rarely offered MG 34 manufactured by Waffenwerke Brünn (manufacturer code “dot”) from 1940, which was legally converted into a semi-automatic rifle in caliber 8x57 JS by the gunsmith Niedermeier in Munich.

The firearm is in excellent and exceptionally well-maintained overall condition for a historical piece of this age. In this configuration and preservation, such pieces are now extremely rare on the market.

Particularly noteworthy is the extensive matching of the serial numbers on the preserved historical main parts. Among others, the barrel jacket, bolt cover, bolt housing, and both stock rings bear the number 909.

The existing historical components are from contemporary production and bear corresponding Wehrmacht acceptance and manufacturing stamps. These parts are not later Yugoslavian production. The weapon also bears the Wehrmacht acceptance WaA63.

As part of the legal conversion by the gunsmith Niedermeier, a new barrel and a new bolt were installed due to design reasons. The numerous matching historical original parts of the base weapon were retained.

The conversion was done as a closing semi-automatic rifle. The firearm has German CIP proof. A BKA determination certificate exists for the corresponding Niedermeier version, which can be viewed or downloaded via the Federal Criminal Police Office.

These Niedermeier conversions have not been produced for some time. According to the previous owner, only about 50 units were converted accordingly during the entire production period. This quantity information is expressly based on the previous owner’s statement.
