Die Huglu XR-8 Pro combines a modern operating concept with a sporty design and is aimed at shooters looking for a manageable and versatile semi-automatic shotgun with a box magazine. Chambered in 12/76 and equipped with a 47-cm barrel, the XR-8 Pro offers a balanced combination of compact design, good handling, and sporty orientation. With an overall length of around 90 cm and a weight of about 4.1 kg including an empty magazine, the shotgun feels solid in the hand without being unnecessarily bulky.
Flexible gas system for different loads

A special feature of the XR-8 Pro is the adjustable valve or gas system. This allows the shotgun’s function to be tuned to different ammunition loads. Depending on the setting, both lighter 28-g loads and stronger cartridges up to 50 g can be processed.
Thoughtful operation for sporty use

Huglu relies on ambidextrous controls and multiple ways to manipulate the weapon. The bolt can be operated both via an AR-15-like control and a left-side charging handle. The latter allows cycling even in the corresponding shooting position.

The concept is complemented by an ambidextrous bolt catch and magazine release. Flip-up sights are available from the factory for aiming. There is also a Picatinny rail on the receiver that allows mounting a suitable red dot sight.
Sporty equipment from the factory

The already mounted supersport compensator is tuned for dynamic use. The interchangeable chokes can be changed with the supplied special key without removing the compensator. This keeps the shotgun’s configuration easily adjustable.
