Smith & Wesson Model 686 "No Dash"

For sale is a Smith & Wesson Model 686 “No Dash” in caliber .357 Magnum. The revolver is in a very nice and well-maintained used condition and is interesting both for sport shooters and lovers of classic Smith & Wesson revolvers. This specimen is the early, original version of the Model 686 – the so-called “No Dash.” This designation stands for the first model generation before Smith & Wesson marked later technical revisions as 686-1, 686-2, etc. The 686 was introduced in the early 1980s and quickly became one of the best-known .357 Magnum revolvers from Smith & Wesson. The 686 is based on the robust L-Frame, which Smith & Wesson developed specifically for the durable use of powerful .357 Magnum loadings. It combines the comfortable handling of a medium-sized revolver with the stability required for the powerful Magnum caliber. The classic stainless-steel version, the distinctive barrel rib, and the original Smith & Wesson wooden grip panels give this early 686 its unmistakable character.
