DWM 1908 Brazil

For sale is a historic DWM Model 1908 in caliber 7×57, manufactured by Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) in Berlin for the Brazilian armed forces. The firearm is in good, age-appropriate used condition and is a beautiful piece of German-Brazilian military and firearms history from the early 20th century. Particularly characteristic is the Brazilian national emblem preserved on the receiver, which clearly shows the weapon’s original military purpose. The Brazilian Model 1908 is based on the legendary Mauser System 98. Brazil procured these rifles from Germany at the beginning of the 20th century and chose the proven 7×57 Mauser caliber. The Brazilian 1908s made by DWM are now considered classic South American Mauser service rifles. The combination of German manufacturing quality, Mauser 98 system, and Brazilian military history makes these rifles especially interesting for collectors of historic service rifles.
