Walther Mod. PDP Full Size OR -5'

WALTHER PDP FS /FullSize Performance Duty Pistol – that’s the abbreviation of the new Walther duty pistol series spelled out.
The PDP line already gets a distinctive look from its deep grip grooves, which are located both at the rear and front of the slide. And they feel as good as they look! This should help users with wet hands or a wet firearm handle loading activities or slide manipulations better. Equally appealing is the new grip with its pyramid-shaped texture, which Walther itself calls Performance Duty Texture. Sharp but not too aggressive, it seems they found a good compromise here. The backstraps, which also feature this texture, are available in different sizes.
The 3 internal safeties – trigger, firing pin block, disconnector – are already known from earlier developments and proven thousands of times.
All models feature an ambidextrous slide stop lever and the magazine release button is also reversible. Following the trend, all PDP models come with a cutout in the slide for mini red dot sights (reflex sights). Adapter plates can be purchased separately and cover models like Docter/Noblex, Meopta, Trijicon RMR and SRO, Holosun 507C/407C/508T, Riton, Axion, Leupold Delta Point, Delta Point Pro, Shield RMS, RMSw, SIG Sauer Romeo Zero or Vortex Viper.
Those who rely on mechanical sights can use the large aftermarket range of GLOCK sights. Walther relies here on compatibility with the Austrian duty pistol, which offers many upgrade options. According to in-house information, the trigger weight is about the usual 2.5 kilograms for duty pistols with a short reset path. The workmanship and feel are at the high level you can expect from Walther. Unique in this firearm category is the outstanding Performance Duty Trigger, which breaks like glass at 25N. Clearly noticeable pressure point DUTY, short reset path ShortRest.
