The 7x65 R was introduced in 1920 as a rimmed sister cartridge to the 7x64. The caliber is ideal for combination hunting rifles as well as break-action rifles – it covers the entire range of game from roe deer to red deer perfectly. Both the 10.7 g heavy GECO soft point bullet and the 11.0 g heavy GECO Plus achieve good external ballistics. For those who prefer lead-free hunting ammunition or where it is required by law, there is the GECO ZERO with an 8.2 g bullet weight.
