The Jaeger 10 is offered in various model variants, from the higher-end Timber version in wood grade 4, two variants with camouflage finish, three Varmint versions, as well as a short Tracker and a precision rifle. The stock of this handy bolt-action rifle has a straight comb, with a long German cheekpiece depending on the version. The synthetic stocks are made from the latest high-tech plastic. All metal parts are matte blued. Female hunters can rely on a special ladies’ stock. Here, the buttstock is shortened, the pistol grip is steeper, and a recoil-absorbing butt pad reduces recoil. These features enable a typically female cheek weld. The bolt features six large lugs on the bolt head and runs perfectly in the receiver with excellent surface and sliding properties. The opening angle of only 60 degrees allows both fast cycling and a very low scope mount. The trigger is a dry direct trigger with a trigger stop. Opening the chamber automatically disengages the trigger stop. The removable detachable magazine consists of a steel sheet body and normally holds 3 + 1 cartridges. The rifle is standard equipped with a hunting sight with a luminous front sight. The safety is located on the right side next to the bolt and has a separate chamber lock that allows unloading while secured. The Jaeger 10 allows mounting a Remington 700 scope base. All Remington 700 mounts can be attached to this base. Some Jaeger 10 models (e.g., Jaeger 10 Varmint) come standard with a Picatinny rail, which can be mounted on all other Jaeger 10 rifles from the factory for an additional charge.
