The Spartan Davros Pro Head Gen 2 is a versatile and lightweight ball head for hunting, observation, and sport shooting. It turns almost any suitable tripod or shooting stick with the appropriate mounting thread into a flexible platform for rifles, spotting scopes, binoculars, and other compatible equipment. The core of the system is the Spartan MagnaSwitch™ interface. This allows rifles or optics equipped accordingly to be mounted and removed within seconds. For example, the same tripod can first be used for observation with binoculars or a spotting scope and then as a stable rifle rest. The Pro version offers an especially large range of motion. Elevation and depression can each be adjusted up to 45°, and a lateral tilt range of 45° to the left and right is also available. This makes the ball head suitable for demanding positions in steep or uneven terrain. For longer observations, the Davros Pro Head Gen 2 features a separate 360° panoramic base. This enables smooth horizontal rotation independent of the ball mechanism and can be locked if needed. A variable friction control also allows the movement resistance to be individually adjusted to the rifle or optic used. Knurled control knobs ensure secure and precise operation even under demanding conditions. Additionally, the ball head has a separate ball lock and a 90° portrait mode. Despite these extensive adjustment options, the construction from hard-anodized 7075-T7351 aluminum weighs only 222 g. Mounting is via a UNC 3/8"-16 thread. An adapter for tripods and shooting sticks with a 1/4"-20 thread is already included. This allows the Davros Pro Head Gen 2 to be combined with a wide range of common tripod systems. Note on MagnaSwitch™ use: To attach a rifle, binoculars, or optic, a Spartan MagnaSwitch™ adapter matching the respective device is required. These adapters are not included with the Davros Pro Head Gen 2 and are sold separately.
