The Spartan Davros Head Gen 2 is an ultra-light ball head for retrofitting tripods and shooting sticks. Thanks to the integrated MagnaSwitch™ system, appropriately prepared rifles, optics, and cameras can be connected to the support within seconds and just as quickly removed. This turns an existing tripod into a versatile platform for hunting, observation, and sport shooting.The revised Generation 2 features a ball mechanism with two friction rings. It allows a smooth range of motion of 360° as well as ±25° each for elevation and depression and lateral tilt. The movement resistance can be adjusted via the friction control to suit the specific application, so the weapon or optic can be aligned and tracked precisely.Made from hard-anodized 7075-T7351 aluminum, the Davros Head Gen 2 combines high stability with an extremely low weight of around 115 g. In addition to the classic mounting via a UNC-3/8"-16 thread, the second generation has an integrated ARCA interface. An adapter for tripods and shooting sticks with 1/4"-20 thread is also included.The MagnaSwitch™ mount is compatible with numerous Spartan Classic adapters as well as optic adapters. This allows, for example, the same tripod to be used alternately as a rifle rest or for observation with a suitably equipped optic. Spartan approves the Davros Head Gen 2 for rifle calibers up to .300 RUM.Note:For the MagnaSwitch™ connection, a suitable Spartan adapter is required on the rifle or optic. These adapters are not included and are sold separately.
