The Barnes Harvest Collection BWB in caliber .308 Winchester was specially designed for hunting in dense terrain and at short to medium shooting distances. The load combines Barnes' high manufacturing standards with the proven Sierra Pro-Hunter Round-Nose bullet and is aimed at hunters looking for a powerful classic hunting load with fast bullet effect. The 11.7 g / 180 gr Sierra Pro-Hunter RN is used. The round-nose bullet features a custom-tuned bullet jacket and a blunt bullet geometry. This design is aimed at reliable accuracy as well as rapid expansion in the game body and is particularly suitable for typical hunting situations in forest areas and dense vegetation. The Pro-Hunter design has a classic lead core with jacket and is therefore deliberately not part of the lead-free Barnes bullet lines. Sierra lists the used 180-gr round-nose bullet with a diameter of .308" and a ballistic coefficient G1 of 0.240. The comparatively compact round-nose geometry underlines the intended use at short to medium hunting distances. Barnes specifies a muzzle velocity of 2,650 fps or about 808 m/s for the .308 Winchester load. The muzzle energy is 2,808 ft-lb or about 3,807 J. The ammunition is delivered in a pack of 20 cartridges.
