Barnes Harvest Collection 7mm-08 Rem. 9.7 g / 150 gr Sierra Tipped GameKing hunting ammunition – 20 pieces #32520
The Barnes Harvest Collection in caliber 7mm-08 Remington is a modern hunting load for medium-strong, thin-skinned game. Barnes combines its own load standards with the 9.7 g / 150 gr Sierra Tipped GameKing (TGK) and combines high ballistic efficiency with a bullet design focused on reliable expansion and penetration. The used Sierra Tipped GameKing has a lead core, a durable jacket, and a polymer tip. Under the tip is a cavity that initiates bullet expansion upon impact. A matched jacket thickness supports controlled mushrooming and weight retention. The boat-tail base and the streamlined ogive contribute to a stable trajectory and a high ballistic coefficient. For the 150-gr Tipped GameKing, Barnes specifies a ballistic coefficient of G1 0.545 and G7 0.266. This keeps the bullet relatively stable in velocity and energy even at longer hunting distances. Barnes assigns the load to the use category Hunting and the game category Medium Game. The muzzle velocity is given by Barnes as 2,725 fps or about 831 m/s. The muzzle energy is 2,474 ft-lb or about 3,354 J. At 200 yd / 182.9 m, the bullet still reaches about 732 m/s at roughly 2,606 J, at 300 yd / 274.3 m about 685 m/s and about 2,285 J.The manufacturer ballistics extend up to 500 yd / 457.2 m. Barnes uses a zeroing distance of 200 yd. Due to the combination of moderate bullet weight, high BC values, and the Tipped GameKing design, this 7mm-08 load is suitable for hunters looking for precise lead-based hunting ammunition with good external ballistics and reliable terminal effect.Note on bullet design:This Harvest Collection load is not lead-free. Barnes uses a Sierra Tipped GameKing with lead core, jacket, and polymer tip. It is not a Barnes TSX, TTSX, or LRX copper bullet.Hunting ammunition in caliber 7mm-08 RemingtonBarnes Harvest CollectionSierra Tipped GameKing (TGK) #4550TGBullet weight 9.7 g / 150 grBullet diameter 7.21 mm / .284"Jacketed bullet with lead core and polymer tipBoat-tail base for stable trajectoryDesigned for controlled expansion and penetrationBallistic coefficient G1: 0.545Ballistic coefficient G7: 0.266Muzzle velocity approx. 831 m/sMuzzle energy approx. 3,354 JManufacturer category: Medium Game20 cartridges per packTechnical dataManufacturerBarnesProduct lineHarvest CollectionArticle number / SKU32520Caliber7mm-08 RemingtonBullet manufacturerSierra BulletsBulletTipped GameKing (TGK)Sierra bullet number#4550TGBullet weight9.7 g / 150 grBullet diameter7.21 mm / .284"Bullet materialJacketed Lead Core / jacketed bullet with lead coreBullet tipPolymer tipBullet baseBoat TailBallistic coefficient G10.545Ballistic coefficient G70.266Muzzle velocityapprox. 831 m/s / 2,725 fpsMuzzle energyapprox. 3,354 J / 2,474 ft-lbUse according to manufacturerHuntingGame category according to manufacturerMedium GameLead-freeNoPackage content20 cartridgesBox UPC716876500161Case UPC716876700165Ballistic dataDistanceVelocityEnergyTrajectoryMuzzleapprox. 831 m/sapprox. 3,354 J–91.4 m / 100 ydapprox. 781 m/sapprox. 2,961 J+4.8 cm182.9 m / 200 ydapprox. 732 m/sapprox. 2,606 J0 cm274.3 m / 300 ydapprox. 685 m/sapprox. 2,285 J-20.1 cm365.8 m / 400 ydapprox. 640 m/sapprox. 1,994 J-57.9 cm457.2 m / 500 ydapprox. 597 m/sapprox. 1,735 J-115.6 cmThe ballistic baseline values come from Barnes.
