The Barnes Harvest Collection in caliber .243 Winchester is a precision-oriented hunting load for medium-strong, thin-skinned game. Barnes combines its own load standards with the 5.8 g / 90 gr Sierra Tipped GameKing (TGK), designed for a flat trajectory as well as reliable expansion and penetration over various hunting distances. The Sierra Tipped GameKing features a lead core, a durable copper jacket, and a transparent polymer tip. Under the tip is a cavity that supports the bullet's expansion upon impact. A specially tuned jacket thickness helps control expansion while retaining enough weight for penetration. The aerodynamically optimized ogive and boat-tail base improve flight stability and reduce air resistance. Sierra describes the TGK as a combination of the well-known precision of the GameKing/MatchKing design and a hunting-specific terminal effect.
