The Barnes Harvest Collection in caliber 7mm Remington Magnum is a powerful hunting load for medium and larger thin-skinned game. Barnes combines its own load standards with the 9.7 g / 150 gr Sierra Tipped GameKing (TGK) and merges the high velocity of the 7mm Rem. Mag. with an aerodynamically efficient bullet design optimized for reliable expansion. The Sierra Tipped GameKing #4550T features a lead core, a durable copper jacket, and a polymer tip. Under the tip is a cavity that initiates expansion of the lead core upon impact. The matched jacket thickness supports controlled expansion and weight retention, while the boat-tail base and BC-optimized ogive contribute to stable flight and high accuracy. The 150-gr Tipped GameKing has a bullet diameter of 7.21 mm / .284". Barnes specifies a ballistic coefficient G1 of 0.545 for the finished load. Sierra additionally lists a G7 BC of 0.266 for the bullet. This helps maintain velocity and energy comparatively well even at longer hunting distances.
