SIG SAUER ROMEO1PRO Red Dot – optionally with 3 or 6 MOAAre you looking for a rugged red dot sight for your compatible SIG SAUER pistol? The SIG SAUER ROMEO1PRO combines a CNC-machined aluminum housing with an aspheric glass lens, twelve brightness levels, and motion-activated MOTAC technology.

The open reflex sight is available in two versions: with a fine 3-MOA red dot or a larger 6-MOA red dot. This way, you can choose the dot size to suit your purpose and personal preferences.
What is the difference between 3 and 6 MOA?The MOA specification describes the angular size of the visible red dot. These are two different model variants – the dot size cannot be switched between 3 and 6 MOA.

The smaller 3 MOA dot covers less of the target and is especially suitable for precision-oriented aiming. At a distance of 25 meters, it theoretically covers an area of about 2.2 centimeters.

The larger 6 MOA dot is easier to see in the sight window and supports quick target acquisition in dynamic shooting sports. At 25 meters, its coverage corresponds to approximately 4.4 centimeters.

Aspherical glass lens for a clear sight pictureThe aspherical lens is made of molded glass and features powerful coatings. This design supports high light transmission and a clear sight picture with minimal optical distortions.

The generous 30mm viewing window makes it easy to quickly find the red dot when presenting the pistol. Since the ROMEO1PRO works without magnification, you can acquire the target with both eyes open.
Twelve Adjustable Brightness LevelsThe ROMEO1PRO has twelve manually selectable brightness levels. Ten of these settings are for different daylight conditions, and two particularly low levels are intended for use with compatible night vision equipment.

This allows you to adjust the intensity of the red dot to the respective lighting conditions. The brightness levels are not automatically controlled but selected via the side control buttons.
MOTAC and more than 20,000 hours of battery lifeThe MOTAC technology detects movement of the sight. When in motion, the illumination is automatically activated, while it turns off after a period of no movement. This allows the red dot to be quickly available again when you resume using the ROMEO1PRO, and the battery is conserved when not in use.

Under suitable operating conditions, the reflex sight achieves a battery life of more than 20,000 hours. Power is supplied by a CR1632 battery.

The battery compartment is accessible from the top. This allows you to change the battery without having to remove the red dot sight from the pistol. Re-mounting after the battery change is therefore not necessary.
TruHold for stable settingsThe lock-free TruHold zero-reset system works with two adjustment springs. The design is made to withstand the recoil stresses of handguns and supports repeatable precise retention of the made elevation and windage adjustments.

The adjustment is done via the externally accessible adjustment screws. The required tool is included in the delivery.
Aluminum housing with steel protective coverThe housing of the SIG SAUER ROMEO1PRO is CNC-milled from aircraft aluminum. This gives the optic a robust construction with a comparatively low weight.

An additional protective cover made of stainless steel is included with the optic, which is sold separately. It surrounds the aluminum housing and provides extra mechanical protection for the reflex sight.

The ROMEO1PRO is waterproof according to IPX7 and designed for temporary submersion up to one meter water depth. Additionally, the construction is fog-resistant.
PRO Footprint – Check Compatibility Before MountingThe SIG SAUER ROMEO1PRO features the SIG SAUER PRO Footprint. It can be mounted directly on compatible SIG SAUER pistols and bolts with the corresponding PRO optic cut.

This includes various models of the P320 series depending on the version. The decisive factor is always the actual optic cut present on the respective bolt.

Although the PRO Footprint shares design similarities with the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro standard, the ROMEO1PRO does not automatically fit every DeltaPoint Pro cut from other manufacturers due to different recoil lug dimensions. Therefore, check the specifications from the firearm or bolt manufacturer before ordering.
