Description

MGCR 556 GBBR 10" – Compact Gas Blow Back Airsoft Rifle from G&G The MGCR 556 GBBR 10" from G&G Armament combines the compact ergonomics of a modern AR platform with the intense and mechanical gameplay experience of a real gas blow-back system. The MGCR series was developed by G&G as its own GBBR platform and is aimed at demanding airsoft players, MilSim fans, and lovers of realistic gas blow back rifles who value high-quality materials, authentic operation, and a clearly noticeable recoil. The 10-inch version offers a particularly balanced combination of maneuverability and stable handling with an overall length of around 770.8 mm. Weighing about 3,135 g, the full metal construction simultaneously conveys the solid and realistic feel that many players expect from a high-quality GBBR. The German version is delivered exclusively with semi-automatic single shot function (Semi Only), has the legally required F-marking in a pentagon, and is only available for persons aged 18 and over. Independent MGCR Gas Blow Back Platform from G&G With the MGCR series, G&G has developed its own gas blow back long gun platform. Unlike a classic AEG or S-AEG, the MGCR does not work with a gearbox, electric motor, and battery. The energy required for firing and moving the bolt is provided by green gas contained in the magazine. With each shot, the gas blow back system moves the bolt, creating a clearly noticeable mechanical impulse. Bolt movement, soundscape, and realistic operation provide a much more intense shooting experience than conventional electric airsoft. At the same time, the realistic functionality means that magazine changes and conscious handling of the available ammunition are more part of the actual gameplay. Metal Construction with Aluminum Bolt and Steel Trigger Group The MGCR 556 GBBR 10" features a robust metal construction and weighs around 3,135 g. This gives it a solid feel in the shoulder and, despite its compact dimensions, provides an exceptionally solid and realistic handling. G&G has paid special attention to the moving and mechanically stressed components. The bolt is made of lightweight aluminum. The reduced weight supports fast cycling and at the same time improves gas efficiency, as less energy is required to move the bolt than with an unnecessarily heavy construction. Additionally, the MGCR features a bolt-impact-dampening system in the area of the gas tube that reduces stresses during the bolt’s working cycle. The mechanically highly stressed trigger group with trigger, hammer, and sear is already upgraded with steel components from the factory. Thus, G&G uses robust materials precisely in the areas that are permanently exposed to mechanical stress in a GBBR. 30-Round Gas Magazine and Realistic GBBR Handling Included is the original G&G MGCR G-08-175 green gas magazine with a capacity of 30 BBs. The magazine simultaneously handles BB feeding and gas supply for the GBBR. The realistic 30-round capacity supports the authentic gameplay feel and makes the MGCR particularly interesting for MilSim and realism-oriented airsoft players. The original MGCR magazine also features a dry-fire function. This allows the platform to be used for handling and function drills where no BBs are to be fired. Additional G-08-175 magazines are available separately and are especially recommended for longer game days, as each prepared magazine carries its own gas supply. Optionally Usable with AirTac HPA Adapter and M4 Magazines A special advantage of the G&G MGCR platform is the possibility to use the gas blow back system
optional to be operated with a specially developed AirTac MGCR to M4 HPA adapter. The separately available plug-&-play adapter is inserted directly into the MGCR instead of the normal green gas magazine, enabling operation via a regulated external HPA air supply. The AirTac adapter is already delivered complete with valve, gas router, and feed lips. Therefore, a GBBR donor magazine neither needs to be disassembled nor modified. At the same time, numerous commercially available M4 AEG magazines can be used with the adapter. Particularly recommended are, for example, PTS EPM1 or EPM1-S magazines with a strong feed spring. This allows the MGCR to be operated either classically and especially authentically with the original G&G G-08-175 30-round green gas magazine or with the optional AirTac HPA adapter, depending on personal preference. The HPA operation offers an interesting alternative, especially for longer game days, as a regulated compressed air supply can be combined with larger M4 magazine capacities while retaining the mechanical gas blow-back function and bolt movement. The AirTac adapter additionally features a BB retention mechanism that reduces BB loss during magazine changes. Due to its modular design, further separately available AirTac magazine bases can also be used. Important: For HPA operation, a suitable compressed air bottle with secondary regulator and HPA line is required. The maximum operating pressure of the adapter specified by the manufacturer of 150 PSI must not be exceeded. The adapter may only be operated with appropriately regulated compressed air. Adjustable Hop-Up and 266 mm precision inner barrel The MGCR features an adjustable hop-up system for the BB trajectory. The adjustment can be made via the barrel area and allows the backspin to be matched to the BB weight used. This enables targeted optimization of trajectory and effective range. In the 10-inch version, the MGCR operates with an approximately 266 mm long inner barrel. The precision inner barrel has a diameter of about 6.04 mm and, together with the adjustable hop-up, forms a very good basis for a stable trajectory and reproducible shooting results. The muzzle energy for the German version is approximately 1.50 joules. As is common with gas blow-back systems, this value should be understood as a guideline, as the actual measured energy can be influenced by factors such as outside temperature, gas used, BB weight, hop-up setting, and other environmental conditions. High-quality 6 mm BBs are recommended for the MGCR. Depending on the desired trajectory and field conditions, BB weights in the range of about 0.28 g to 0.32 g are particularly suitable, for example from G&G, BLS, or Delta Armory Diamond. Ambidextrous operation for right- and left-handers G&G has designed the MGCR as a modern and ergonomic AR platform. Important controls are implemented on both sides, allowing the rifle to be comfortably operated by both right- and left-handers. These include, among others, the magazine release and fire selector as well as the correspondingly designed charging handle. The short travel of the fire selector supports fast and intuitive operation. In the German F version, only Safe and Semi are available – the international full-auto function is not usable in the German version. 10-inch M-LOK handguard, Picatinny, and 14 mm CCW The compact 10-inch configuration is one of the biggest advantages of this MGCR version. It remains agile enough for CQB, buildings, and quick position changes, while also offering a balanced geometry for use at medium distances. The modern M-LOK handguard allows the mounting of compatible front grips, lights, and other airsoft accessories without the platt
form unnecessarily wide or heavy. On the top side, there is a continuous Picatinny rail, on which, for example, red dot sights, magnifiers, or other compatible optics can be mounted. The standard equipment also includes foldable front and rear sights, so the MGCR already has a usable mechanical sight without additional optics. The adjustable GOS-V8 stock allows for adapting the stock length to body size, shooting position, and worn gear, and additionally offers storage space for small accessories. At the muzzle, the MGCR features a widely used 14mm CCW thread. This allows for the use of numerous compatible airsoft tracer units, suppressor replicas, and other muzzle attachments. The 10-inch MGCR for CQB and versatile field setups The MGCR 556 GBBR 10" offers a particularly interesting middle ground within the MGCR family. With an overall length of around 770.8 mm, it is compact enough for tight field areas and dynamic CQB without adopting the handling of an extremely short platform. At the same time, the 266 mm inner barrel provides a solid foundation for controlled shots at medium airsoft distances. This makes the 10-inch version especially suitable for players who do not want to use multiple GBBRs for different fields but are looking for a versatile gas blowback platform for indoor, CQB, and outdoor games. Scope of delivery The scope of delivery includes the G&G MGCR 556 GBBR 10" Gas Blow Back airsoft rifle in black, an original G&G G-08-175 green gas magazine with 30-round capacity, and the instruction manual. Green gas, 6mm BBs, optics, tracer units, and other accessories shown in product images are not included and must be purchased separately if needed. Note: For reliable function, we recommend high-quality green gas with an operating pressure suitable for the MGCR. As with any GBBR, ambient temperature and gas temperature can affect function and muzzle energy. Moving components and seals should be regularly checked, cleaned, and properly maintained. Lubricants must not get on the hop-up rubber or the BBs, as this can impair precision and range. Age restriction: The German version has a muzzle energy of more than 0.5 joules, is delivered exclusively with semi-automatic single-shot function (semi only), and carries the legally required F marking in a pentagon. Purchase is only permitted for persons aged 18 and over.
