Description

MGCR 556 GBBR 7" – Ultra-compact Gas Blow Back Airsoft Rifle from G&G The MGCR 556 GBBR 7" from G&G Armament is the particularly compact version of the MGCR Gas Blow Back series, combining the modern ergonomics of an AR platform with a realistic mechanical GBBR system. With an overall length of only about 668.1 mm and a weight of around 2,975 g, the 7-inch version is consistently designed for agility, quick position changes, and use in tight field areas. Despite its compact dimensions, the MGCR offers the intense gameplay experience of a full-fledged Gas Blow Back platform: The bolt moves with every shot, the mechanical impulse is clearly noticeable, and the controls are based on a modern AR platform. The German version is delivered exclusively with semi-automatic single-shot function (Semi Only), carries the legally required F-marking in a pentagon, and is only available for persons aged 18 and over. G&G’s Own MGCR Gas Blow Back Platform The MGCR series holds a special position within the G&G range, as it is the first Gas Blow Back rifle series developed by G&G itself. The platform was developed in different barrel lengths, allowing players to choose between particularly compact and longer configurations depending on the area of use. Unlike a classic AEG or S-AEG, the MGCR requires neither gearbox nor electric motor or battery. The energy for the shot and the bolt movement is provided by Green Gas contained in the magazine. This creates a real mechanical bolt movement with a clearly perceptible recoil impulse and a characteristic soundscape typical of GBBR systems with every shot. Robust Metal Construction with Aluminum Bolt and Steel Trigger Group The MGCR 556 GBBR 7" features a robust metal construction and weighs about 2,975 g. This keeps the compact platform pleasantly manageable while conveying the solid and high-quality handling that players expect from a modern GBBR. G&G uses a lightweight aluminum bolt for the bolt. The reduced moving mass supports fast cycling and simultaneously improves gas efficiency, as less energy is required to move the bolt than with an unnecessarily heavy construction. Additionally, the MGCR features a bolt impact dampening system in the area of the gas tube that reduces mechanical stress during the bolt’s operating cycle. The particularly stressed trigger group is also upgraded with steel components from the factory. Thus, G&G relies on a durable construction for important mechanical parts for regular GBBR use. 30-Round Green Gas Magazine for Realistic GBBR Handling Included is an original G&G MGCR Green Gas magazine with a capacity of 30 BBs. The magazine handles both BB feeding and gas supply for the blow-back system. The realistic capacity of 30 rounds supports the authentic character of the MGCR and makes magazine changes a real part of the gameplay. The matching original G&G G-08-175 MGCR GBBR gas magazine also features an integrated dry-fire function. This allows the MGCR to be used for handling and function drills without having to fire BBs regularly. Additional G-08-175 magazines are available separately and are a sensible addition, especially for longer game days. Optionally Usable with AirTac HPA Adapter and M4 Magazines A particularly interesting advantage of the MGCR platform is the possibility to operate the gas blow-back system alternatively via a separately available AirTac MGCR to M4 HPA adapter. AirTac has developed the plug-&-play adapter specifically for the G&G MGCR series and states compatibility with all MGCR rifles. The adapter is used instead of the regular
Green gas magazines are inserted into the MGCR and enable the supply of the gas blow-back system via an external, regulated HPA compressed air supply. Valve, gas router, and feed lips are already pre-assembled, so no original GBBR donor magazine needs to be disassembled or modified. Another big advantage is the possibility to use standard M4 AEG magazines with the AirTac adapter. Magazines with a strong feed spring, such as PTS EPM1 or EPM1-S, are particularly suitable. This allows significantly higher BB capacities than with the standard 30-round gas magazine. This way, the MGCR can be operated either classically and especially authentically with the original G&G G-08-175 green gas magazine or with the optional AirTac HPA adapter, depending on personal preference. The mechanical gas blow-back function and the bolt movement remain intact even when operating via the HPA adapter. The AirTac adapter also features a BB retention mechanism that reduces BB loss during magazine changes. Thanks to the modular AirTac system, compatible, separately available magazine bases can also be used. Important: For HPA operation, a suitable HPA compressed air tank, a secondary regulator, and a matching HPA line are required. The adapter must only be operated with regulated compressed air. The maximum operating pressure specified by the manufacturer of 150 PSI must not be exceeded.

Adjustable hop-up and compact 189.8 mm barrel
The 7-inch version has a 189.8 mm long barrel and an adjustable hop-up system. The hop-up allows adjustment of the backspin to the BB weight used and is therefore crucial for a stable trajectory and reproducible precision. The short barrel is consistently matched to the particularly compact dimensions of this MGCR version. The 7-inch version should not simply be considered a less precise version of the longer MGCR models: In airsoft, a well-tuned hop-up, hop-up rubber, used BB weight, and BB quality are essential for the actually achievable precision and trajectory. For the MGCR, we recommend high-quality 6 mm BBs, for example from G&G, BLS, or Delta Armory Diamond. The optimal BB weight should be chosen according to the actual performance, hop-up tuning, and respective field conditions.

Modern operation and compact AR ergonomics
The MGCR combines its compact design with modern AR ergonomics. The controls allow quick and intuitive operation, while the adjustable stock enables adaptation to body size, cheek weld, and worn equipment. In the German F version, only Safe and Semi are available. A fully automatic firing function, which may be present in international versions, is not usable in the German version.

7-inch M-LOK handguard for an especially compact setup
The short 7-inch configuration is the defining feature of this MGCR version. With an overall length of only about 668.1 mm, the rifle can be handled very quickly and remains pleasantly handy even in tight buildings, CQB areas, and behind cover. The modern M-LOK handguard offers mounting options for compatible foregrips, lights, and other airsoft accessories despite the compact dimensions. On top, there is a Picatinny rail for red dot sights and other compatible optics. Folding front and rear sights allow the MGCR to be used even without additional optics. The adjustable stock also allows the platform to be set particularly compactly or adapted to the individual cheek weld of the player.

The especially compact MGCR for CQB and dynamic play
With an overall length of about 668.1 mm and a weight of around 2,975 g, the...
e MGCR 556 GBBR 7" the particularly compact choice within the MGCR family. Its short dimensions are especially noticeable during quick direction changes, indoors, when switching cover, and on tight CQB fields. At the same time, the player does not have to give up the characteristic experience of a full-fledged GBBR. Mechanical bolt movement, realistic 30-round magazine, and the AR-typical operating procedures remain intact. With the optional AirTac HPA adapter, the platform can also be expanded into a particularly interesting HPA-CQB setup with M4 AEG magazines.

Scope of delivery
The scope of delivery includes the G&G MGCR 556 GBBR 7" Gas Blow Back airsoft rifle in black, an original G&G MGCR Green Gas magazine with a capacity of 30 BBs, and the user manual. Green Gas, 6-mm BBs, optics, tracer units, the AirTac HPA adapter, HPA bottle, regulator, HPA line, and any other accessories shown in product images are not included and must be purchased separately if needed.

Note: For reliable function in classic gas operation, we recommend high-quality Green Gas with an operating pressure suitable for the MGCR. In gas blow-back systems, outside temperature and gas temperature can affect both function and muzzle energy. Moving components, valves, and seals should be regularly checked, cleaned, and properly maintained.

Age restriction: The German version is delivered exclusively with semi-automatic single-shot function (Semi Only) and bears the legally required F marking in a pentagon. Purchase is only permitted for persons aged 18 and over.
