Walther PP caliber 7.65 Brown. Lower Saxony The Walther PP is a semi-automatic pistol from the German firearms manufacturer Carl Walther GmbH. The model designation PP stands for Polizeipistole (police pistol). Developed by Fritz Walther, one of the five sons of the company founder Carl Wilhelm Freund Walther, the Walther PP revolutionized the construction of double-action trigger pistols from 1929 as the first pistol with a high-quality and reliably functioning double-action trigger.
