Inspired by the successful Colt Python, the Officers Match was produced from 1953 to 1969 and features a 6-inch barrel length here. Visually, the Officers Match resembles a scaled-down version of the Python.  Due to the light recoil of the .22 caliber cartridge, the Officers Match version can be used as a training weapon for beginners. The revolver has gained popularity among firearm collectors due to the affordable price of .22 caliber ammunition and its rarity since being discontinued.
