Röhm RG 59 Le Petit Blued Blank Firing Revolver 9mm R.K.The Röhm RG 59 Le Petit is a compact blank firing revolver in caliber 9mm R.K. The dimensions of the gas revolver are based on the fact that Röhm uses a smaller frame than the "full-size" models. This also forms the basis for the two 6mm Flobert blank firing weapons RG 46 and RG 56. Due to the smaller cylinder diameter, the RG-59 offers a capacity of 5 rounds. The cylinder swings out to the left. Furthermore, the signal revolver features a single-/double action trigger as well as a drop safety. The firing cup for signal effects is included with the weapon. The Röhm RG59 has no specific model but is inspired by the compact revolver models from the mid last century. Visually, it could be compared to the Colt Detective, but that is purely subjective.Our assessment of the Röhm RG 59 Le PetitThe RG 59 blank firing revolver was manufactured by the traditional maker Röhm. The workmanship is very good. But that’s what we expect from firearms bearing the Röhm name. The blued blank firing revolver is equipped with plastic grip panels in wood look. Some might find this disturbing, but when gripping the handle, you will be surprised by the good feel. Even smaller hands, especially women’s, should have no problems handling it. To load the revolver, the cylinder swings out to the left. The RG59 releases all chambers simultaneously. For quick emptying of the cylinder, it has a central ejector. We were also impressed by the trigger, whose resistance remains moderate even in DA mode. The cylinder gap is fortunately very small, so the risk of accidentally disabling yourself with defense cartridges is eliminated. For necessary safety, the RG-59 signal revolver has a drop safety that prevents unintentional discharge. Finally, we tested 4 types of ammunition with 10 rounds each. Every cartridge fired reliably and could be ejected without resistance afterwards.We find the Röhm RG59N Le Petit gas/signal revolver very successful.
