The Trijicon RMR HD is the latest version of the well-known RMR and uses the same widely used footprint. It is equipped with modern electronics similar to the Type 2 and is even more robustly manufactured, with the most obvious feature being the upward-curved edges of the housing, which serve to deflect shocks from the lens.
The differences from Type 2 lie in the ability to change the battery from above, i.e., without disassembly, a new forward-facing brightness sensor for practical adjustment of the red dot brightness, and a larger viewing window. Also new is the option to change the reticle. Additionally, there are larger, better tactile and operable buttons.
Suitable for all applications but designed for law enforcement and military users, it can be mounted on pistols as well as shotguns and rifles, and thanks to the widespread footprint, there are a variety of mounts for every use. All RMR HDs are waterproof up to 20m, feature a multi-coated lens, and have a 1 MOA click adjustment.
The Trijicon RMR HD is available with 2 different dot sizes: 1 or 3.25 MOA. Both dot sizes feature a switchable reticle, target circle, and crosshair, as well as automatic and manual brightness control.
Manual adjustment of the red dot is done in 9 levels, of which 3 are night vision compatible and 1 is super bright. The illumination offers a battery life of over 3 years at level 5 (dot only).

Note on Trijicon products:
The packaging of the products is opened upon arrival in Germany to verify the serial numbers against the manufacturer’s data, meaning any "seal stickers" may no longer be intact. Due to these procedures, mounting marks may be visible. This is completely normal. These are NOT B-stock items! It is also often the case that the devices are not particularly attractive in surface finish. This is also normal. According to Trijicon, this is intentional. The manufacturer does not place value on surface aesthetics. All Trijicon devices are made for specific law enforcement applications and not to win a beauty contest in surface finish. If you cannot accept this (which we fully understand), please do NOT order a Trijicon device from us.
Trijicon was founded in 1981 in Michigan as a distribution company for “Occluded Eye Gunsights,” a prototype of today’s reflex sights. The name “Trijicon” was coined in 1985 from the words “Tritium” and “Icon” and referred to the 3-dot tritium sights for pistols produced by the company at that time. In 1987, the first ACOG was introduced – marking the company’s breakthrough. Trijicon manufactures sights for handguns, prism sights, scopes, mounts, and thermal optics for civilian, law enforcement, and military markets. Among the company’s best-known and most successful products are the RMR micro-reflex sight, now considered standard in the US market, and the ACOG, a pioneering battlesight.
