Performance & Application Area

Fouling from copper, tombac, zinc, and lead reduces shooting accuracy and impairs the reliability of any firearm in the long term. Robla Solo MIL effectively dissolves these deposits – including stubborn lead residues typical in shotguns and airguns, as well as molybdenum disulfide coatings (MoS₂) that accumulate from modern bullet coatings in the barrel.
The active ingredient combination based on ammonia specifically attacks non-ferrous metals and is completely neutral towards steel, nickel, and chrome. The barrel is cleaned without attacking the base material.

Radical cleaning power | Robla Solo MIL dissolves copper, tombac, zinc, and lead – covering the full spectrum of typical bullet fouling. Even dried or multilayer residues are reliably bound and removed.
Fast deep cleaning | The effect sets in quickly. Depending on the degree of fouling, the barrel cleaner can be applied with soaked felt plugs or tow or poured directly into the barrel to allow longer exposure time. Note: Wetting and prolonged exposure time should not be combined as this can damage the barrel.
Militarily proven | Robla Solo MIL was tested by the Bundeswehr’s Military Science Institute. Application:
For metal deposits, pour Robla Solo MIL into the barrel closed on one side with a cork or rubber stopper (recommendation: Ballistol rubber cork) and let it act for several hours, preferably overnight for extreme fouling. Always fill the barrel completely. For lighter fouling, multiple passes of Robla Solo MIL (e.g., with Ballistol felts, tow, or cleaning cord) are sufficient.
Never leave the barrel wet with only Robla Solo MIL for a long time. Otherwise, the contained ammonia evaporates, and the remaining water combined with organic salts can cause pitting corrosion. The barrel completely filled with Robla Solo MIL can be safely stored overnight.

Green to blue color indicates dissolved copper and tombac, lead and zinc dissolve colorlessly.

Then dry-pull the barrel several times and treat with Ballistol Universal Oil, Gunex, or GunCer eins
spraying. After drying, the barrel must be oiled, otherwise pitting corrosion can occur on the inside of the barrel.
