What’s special about VFG gun care? It’s a comprehensive range of products for both the internal and external cleaning and care of firearms. Naturally, special attention is given to cleaning the inside of the barrel, as this is where the biggest problems usually occur. All systems share the feature that cleaning, preserving, and degreasing of the barrel is done with wool felt elements. VFG barrel cleaners made from high-quality wool felt are – precisely matched in diameter for every caliber – produced from natural sheep wool fibers with cellulose wool. This is done exclusively by felting and fulling the individual fibers, without any additional binders. Felt is a pure natural product and contains no chemical substances. It is dimensionally stable yet elastic and can be precisely punched using modern methods. This creates a brush-like surface at the punch cut from countless fiber ends, which provides optimal cleaning effect under appropriate pressure. It is very absorbent and can trap both coarse and fine dirt particles in its tangled fiber structure, removing them from the barrel. The excellent absorbency also allows it to take up and store liquids (e.g. oil, solvents, polishing paste, etc.). Felt is a textile product and therefore harmless and extremely gentle on firearms.
